Okay so do you remember before when I was saying there is nothing girl at our house..... Well let me tell you of a conversation I had with Kaden the other day. I am a HUGE fan of Halloween. I normally spend a lot of money on costumes and a lot of time making the costumes. Well since my boys are huge Star Wars fans and the new movie 'The Clone Wars' is coming out, I thought it might be fun to dress up everyone as Star Wars characters. I knew Gregg would want to be one of the dark side......then the rest of us can be on the good side, ha ha ha. I am thinking in my head all of this before I mention it to Kaden. I am thinking well I can be Princess Leia or Padme. Thinking of all the beautiful dresses Padme wears, oooohhhh I could make one of those, that would be cool.
So I approach Kaden with this idea. He jumps right on board saying he wants to be Yoda. I say, let's let Zeke be Yoda, since he is the smallest. He says okay that's cool. I will be Anikin or Luke. Okay, I say. Who do you think I should be? I say Princess Leia or Padme? He says, Mom you need to be a jedi. I say what? You don't want me to be a princess? He says no way. There is even a girl jedi......(this is new to me - I told you I don't know much about Star Wars). He proceeds to get his Star Wars book and points out the wonderful girl jedi he wants me to be.........I rest my case...........

LOL!!!! Carrie, that is a great story. You always do make the most amazing costumes. I can't wait to see you as a Jedi now. How funny! Gotta love boys!
You would look SO cool in that costume. You have much more energy than I ever did.
well, now i even can't wait for halloween! i'll be watching out the window all day to see what you show up in! that is an EXCELLENT story!
i had to comment again. i seriously laugh everytime i look at this picture. i know you want to be a princess BUT how cool to be a jedi!
Carrie,
I don't know where else to write to respond to your comment on our blog so I'll put it here. By the way, a Jedi would be much cooler. Jedi's can be princesses too, but princesses can't be Jedi's.
I do claim Gregg as a friend, and a close friend at that. As for his non-mushy side, I never got that close to him in high school, if you know what I mean, to know if he ever had one. However, we did watch a sunset together on top of a cliff in Zions canyon our junior year I think.
If I had to guess why, and I think I will, I would say it is from listening to heavy metal music very loudly for a good part of his life.
Tell him "FEDA BETA CRA" for me will you.
This post is insanely funny. I can totally see Kayden suggesting Carrie be the "Girl Jedi". I seriously crack up every time I read this post and see that Jedi picture.
Job well done!
That is so hilarious!!! One of the funniest posts I've ever seen. :)
I think I might pay money to see you in that costume. Pretty snazzy!
