Flaming Gorge

Finally a moment to blog! We finally got to go to Flaming Gorge over Labor day we had a blast! Thanks Masons!!

Apparently Gregg used to go to FG all the time as a kid. It brings back very fond memories to him. My memories of FG are of TK (my Dad) standing in the boat at the dock of Hide out campground while all of us girls took all the heavy camping gear up to our spot. You know TK did a lot of hard work too, it was really hard holding the boat down to the dock....um, I know he has buoys and ropes to tye down. Nope I am sure it is much more fun watching his possy of girls act like boys and take all the stuff up to the highest camp spot. Oh and then, at 6am reving up his engine that echoed so nicely in the said hideout canyon area. I guess that was our wake up que that we were to get up and get breakfast going because he wanted to ski. Nevermind the fact it was 'freakin freezing!!!'. Anyway, I didn't mean to ramble Greggs fond memories are of the 'Georgy Porgy' (Grandpa George's boat) sleeping on the boat and going fishing etc. etc. He loved it. He told us about the really cool boat parade on Labor day and the fireworks that finished off the parade. I think everyone in my family laughed at him so hard! We teased him because come on....a boat parade with lights on the boats? Really? How much more cheezy can it get?

But honestly the parade and fireworks were a blast (no pun intended)! I tried really hard to get some cool moon and fireworks shots but um, those are really hard to do especially when you don't know how to work the camera yet.

We did all have a great time. The Mason's know how to camp let me tell you! We ate like Kings and Queens! The Men actually set stuff up AND put it down. I swear I could camp like that all the time. I was just not physically exhausted like when we camp with the Drapers!

Thanks for a fun trip! We will definately have to go see the cheezy parade and fireworks again. --maybe next year i will know how to do night time shooting!

Isn't Bronson so adorable? I guess this is one of the Mason family camping traditions. They always make a big mut pit and play in it all day. Aunty just happened to have the added touches of the boots and hat.....He totally looked like he was a cowboy taking a bath!

Doesn't every one need to sweep up the dirt and grass in the middle of the camp spot? Great Job Zeke!

Kaden from happy to sad in .03 seconds

ah, what would we ever do without the trusty old dump trucks. They have proven to be hours and hours of fun! Zeke has always loved this dump truck. Such a great investment!

And the ever popular water guns. Gregg is in his element! I think boys will always be boys and it is always about seek and destroy!

And I know right now you are probably thinking, well I thought Jaxon was there too. Um, yes he was! Let me see he is 8 right? Well I think he thinks he is 18! Anytime there is a teenager or any older cooler boy for that matter around he disapears from the family. Yes, he is sprouting a teenager attitude already of 'I am too cool for my family. I am old enough to stay here by myself!' AH!! are you serious? Yes, he is! So he missed out on the majority of all the family fun! He did have fun with Brett who was a star and took him for rides on the awesome Rex 4 wheeler, and waverunner rides, and tubing rides! Oh, I can't believe he is so old already!
