Floats in the morning and Floats at night

I love a parade. As a kid we always went to the parade. My Dad used to park the truck right up to the green line and we would sit right on the back of the tailgate or on the top of the truck sleeper. While my wonderful husband does not share this enjoyment, my parents still do. so this year I drug my parents along with us. Jaxon and I went early to get a spot (which ended up being a really good spot). Nana and Papa came later with Kaden and Zeke. We loved to watch the parade floats and bands. And we were especially awed by the trick the SLPD did. One of the patrol officers actually stood on his bike as it went down the street. The boys LOVED it.

Zeke really did well. I don't know if it was because he was so tired (we got him up at 6am) or if he was really interested in it. We just left the smorgasborg of snacks on his tray and he was in hog heaven. By the looks of this pic he was seriously concentrating on what he was watching (which right now was the police officers.

Well what is the 24th without fireworks? So we purchased quite a load of fireworks this year and invited the Petersen clan over to share the fireworks and some Rootbeer floats. We all had a good time!
